Women generally pay more for haircuts than men, the reasoning being that their hair is usually longer and more complicated to style. That’s going to change at one Edmonton salon starting March 1st – Adara Hair and Body Studio in Mill Creek will adjust their haircut prices to reflect short, medium and longer cuts, regardless of gender. Some complicated cuts may have an additional charge.
When the new prices kick in, a short or pixie cut will be $37, up to $67 for longer hair. The price until now has been approx. $55 for a woman’s cut, and men pay approx. $35.
Salon owners Jen Story and Rebecca Wollenberg say most clients are positive about the new pricing. More here
So, guys, count your blessings (and your savings). Many things cost more for women than men!
