Two women say they spent ‘hundreds’ on tickets to see Disney’s ‘Frozen on Ice’, but didn’t get to see the whole show. Kandra Pearson and Andrea Bedke dressed up as Anna and Elsa for the show in Salt Lake City, and posed for pictures with other excited fans. When staff asked them to refrain from posing for pictures, they apologized and agreed – but at intermission, they were asked to leave the arena entirely because their costumes were too distracting to other patrons.
As an apology, the two women were given full refunds and tickets to an upcoming Utah Jazz game. An arena spokesperson told news station KFOR that “… Their costumes and characters were so real that they disrupted the live performance due to the volume of other patrons seeking to take photographs. Multiple requests were made by the ‘Disney on Ice’ production for them to stop posing for pictures during the show. At intermission, guest services staff asked them to leave the arena to prevent further disturbances…. It was unfortunate that they became too popular among the fans.”
