I rolled up to Union Hall this afternoon and the first thing I see is this big glamorous tour bus outside. After receiving a text, “we’re on the bus” I get in line of the media people who can’t wait to speak to Alessia Cara. I’m nervous because I can count on one hand the number of music artists I have had the opportunity to interview..and most of those were over the phone. I’m also nervous because I’ve never been on a TOUR BUS before.
I don’t have to wait long…because it takes about five minutes before Alessia Cara’s super friendly team invites me on board.
I’m not gonna lie, the time I spent on board talking to this girl was flam. If you listen to the interview, you’ll know what I mean by flam.
0:01- Did you pull any April Fool’s pranks today..or have any pulled on you?
0:42- What is your favorite kind of candy?
1:31- Which one of your songs is your favorite?
1:52- What is the story behind ‘Wild Things’?
2:28- You say FLAM a lot on Twitter. What the heck does it mean?
3:28- I know you like to watch documentaries on Netflix. What is your favorite documentary?
4:15- Have you watched ‘Making A Murderer’? What did you think of it?
4:49- You started out your career by playing covers on your very popular YouTube Channel. What song have you not covered yet, but you would like to?
5:13- What did you want to be when you grew up?
6:06- What’s next for you?
6:31- How do you and your family celebrate Mother’s Day? Do you have any plans?
6:51- What is the best gift you ever gave to your mother for Mother’s Day?
7:24- Is there anything else that you want our listeners to know about you?
I’m not saying Alessia Cara likes Hershey’s Cookies n’ Creme. But I’m not not saying it either!
Believe me when I say this….every single adventure I go on has an embarrassing part. Here’s mine:
After we wrapped up the interview, I dug around in my purse for awhile looking for my keys. After a few minutes it got awkward..like…who’s this girl ferociously rooting through her purse like monkeys root through eachother’s fur for delicious bugs to eat. So I got off…and walked up to my car. What do I see inside my locked car? MY KEYS. So I spent the next 40 minutes crouching behind my car so Alessia Cara and her team cant see me from the tour bus and realize what a loser I am. Eventually AMA showed up to rescue me and here I am. Moral of the story? Always make sure you have your keys before you step onto a tour bus.
PS Alessia Cara takes the stage at Union Hall and tickets are still available! It is an all ages show so everyone is welcome! Tickets are still available!
