Now that Canada will introduce legislation to legalize marijuana in 2017, entrepreneurs are jumping on the pot bandwagon, including former ‘Real Housewives of Vancouver’ cast member Mary Zilba. She and tv personality Fiona Forbes have announced deals for three pot-centric tv programs/documentaries to be produced by their company LadyPants Productions:
‘Marijuana Minute’, a digital marijuana news program, is being described as “Everything you wanted to know about marijuana but are too paranoid to ask”. Forbes says filming begins next week.
‘Stoners in Stilletos’ is a documentary about women in the marijuana business, to profile ten women in BC and ten in Los Angeles. Pre-production begins this month.
‘Baked’ is a cannabis-cooking show hosted by Mary Jean Dunsdon, aka ‘Watermelon‘. Zilba says “(Mary Jean’s) very, very big on portion control,” said Zilba. “People are going to start using marijuana to cook and to bake, so it’s important to know about the quantities they’re using.”
