SunOpta, a Canadian sunflower seed supplier, recently tested positive for possible Listeria contamination. Although the sunflower seeds are in bars of various brands, sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says there have been no illnesses reported so far. The recall was announced May 16th and initially only affected Ontario.
