Everyone who knows Scott Germain has nothing but good things to say about him. Germain, who is one of the acting captains of the Fort McMurray Fire Department, is passionate about his community. He plays a key role in organizing the FMFD calendar each year (and it NEVER disappoints- be sure to grab yours immediately!)
Germain also spearheads the 100 hour campout each year. This fundraiser involves members of the FMFD literally camping out on the roof of a local business for 100 hours to raise money for numerous local charities.
Scott and his twin brother Jamie both fought the wildfire dubbed “The Beast” that ripped through Fort McMurray in early May. Scott and his wife Michelle Germain (who also worked her butt off during the YMM wildfire, she is a dispatcher extraordinaire) lost their home to The Beast.
Recently, Scott received some exciting news. If anyone deserves such an opportunity, it is him. Good luck to Scott! Please join me in cheering him on on Dec 10th on the Food Network!
