A local group of ladies are striving to improve the quality of life for Edmonton’s homeless population.
Brandy Sletten, Naomi Layton, Nicole Allison, Lorraine Schlotter, Nicole Murnaghan, and Deanne Ruel are currently partaking in a self improvement course called “The Advancement of Excellence Through Excellence Seminars” where they are inspired to create a project designed to “strengthen the fabric of goodwill that exists today.”
The ladies, who have dubbed their group “The Butterfly Effect” decided that they want their project to have a positive impact on the local homeless population.
They are currently seeking donations of:
-A meal of a sandwich, fruit, veggies, water & juice
– Cards with a positive affirmation and a $10 gift certificate for a hot meal
– Metallic warming blankets
-Toques, mittens & scarves
-Tampons / pads
The goal is to obtain and distribute forty backpacks full of donations throughout the city of Edmonton on Saturday, October 22nd.
“Our team motto is consciously creating an attitude of gratitude,” says Sletten.
