There will be not one, but TWO, fireworks displays this evening over City Hall at Sir Winston Churchill Square!
The first display starts at 8:30pm to coincide with Newfoundland’s midnight, in celebration of Canada’s 150th year since confederation.
Of course, the traditional fireworks display will go off at midnight to help ring in 2017, and family-friendly events will be held throughout the evening inside City Hall and around Churchill Square.
ETS transit will be free to downtown tonight, but regular parking rates will be in affect on the city streets. The library parkade will offer a special rate of $1 for the evening after 5pm.
Happy New Year!
