Saturday is Canadian Ski Patrol Day, to recognize over 4,500 volunteers who help keep us safe while we play on the slopes at more than 220 ski areas across the country. Our ‘snow angels’ are a big deal, so they deserve a big event – breaking the Guinness World Record for the most people making snow angels at the same time. The current record is 15,851 people, and hopefully Canadians at up to one hundred ski hills and resorts can break that tomorrow.
The event itself happens at 11am tomorrow (Saturday); Edmonton’s contribution will be at Snow Valley Ski Club – everyone is welcome, but make sure you arrive by 10:15am to pre-register at the Canadian Ski Patrol tent by the main lodge.
Dress warmly! You’ll need to make that snow angel for a full minute for it to count!
