Chinook Series is Edmonton’s only international high performance arts festival showcasing some of the most acclaimed contemporary art taking place in our province, across Canada, and beyond. By bringing together dynamic, daring, and cutting edge artists, Chinook offers the best in theatre, dance, and performance art and for the first time includes Canada’s first deaf theatre festival.
Brought to life by a collaborative effort of three Edmonton producing companies – Azimuth Theatre, Fringe Theatre Adventures, and Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre – Chinook Series offers two hot weeks of live performance.
Chinook Series runs Thursday, February 9 – Monday, February 20, 2017 and features five distinct performance streams in addition to many workshops including:
Chinook also offers a Pay What you Will program. Chinook is about celebrating and welcoming our community. A minimum of 25% of seats for each performance has been dedicated to Pay What you Will.” Patrons can contribute what they feel the show is worth, or pay what they are able. These tickets are limited and available in person at least two hours prior to the start of each performance – first come, first serve – at the ATB Financial Arts Barns Box Office.
