Adele’s concert tour continues through Australia and New Zealand this month, and her shows are all ‘in the round’. More fans have the chance to see her this way – but there’s one big logistical challenge: with no underground or hidden tunnel to travel to her starting point on stage in the middle of the arena, how does she get there undetected (and potentially mobbed) by thousands of fans?
It’s been revealed that Adele is hidden inside a gear box (with an iPad to help her kill time) and is wheeled to the stage – with a security escort, of course – right through the crowd. Who would give more than a glance to a utility case full of gear being moved into place? Fans don’t realize that a superstar worth $125 million U.S. sits only feet away from them.
While Adele didn’t reveal the specifics, she admitted to fans that she spends several minutes each night ‘dripping with sweat’ before the show, presumably because of the hot confines of the small box, and a heavy gown covered with 10,000 Swarovski crystals.
Now we know what this video really shows!
