Raise your hand if you’ve ever been to a restaurant and had to endure the unpleasant behavior of someone else’s child!!
I once had a wayward chicken finger flung at my head from a kid 3 booths down at Earls. True story. What I find most helpful in these situations is to remember that I, too, was once a child. Quite a hellion, actually.
As long as children roam this earth, this situation is going to occur. Even if the parents are the most well mannered people on earth, trying to raise a respectable member of society. It’s just what children do best.
One restaurant in Mooresville, North Carolina is trying to conquer this “issue” by totally banning children aged 5 and younger.
What inspired this?
A little girl was eating dinner with her parents at the upscale Italian eatery, called Caruso’s. The child was playing on an iPad while she ate, listening to it with the volume on high. After repeated requests to lower the volume (which the parents apparently refused), the family was asked to leave.
This was the last straw before the restaurant made the decision to ban young children. More here.
Do you think the restaurant made a good decision? Or do you disagree with their choice?
