Okay, let’s be honest, nobody likes a TOMMY TEXTER. It’s mildly irritating when the person is a stranger, let alone the person you’re supposed to be on a date with. Is it worth suing someone over? HECK NO. How about just don’t go on another date with that person?
One guy is angry enough to take it to the courts after experiencing just this.
Brandon Vezmar, a 37 year old man from Texas, is taking his date to small claims after she allegedly texted during their movie date at Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 over the weekend. How much is he suing her for? $17.31. The cost of the movie tix. SERIOUSLY, BUDDY?!
In Vezmar’s court petition, he reveals he met the 35 year old woman online. Apparently she texted about 15-20 times during the movie. He then asked her to leave the theater while texting. She obliged, and never returned.
Vezmar revels that although damages sought are modest, texting in movies is his biggest pet peeve.
