CHRIS CORNELL’s death was ruled a suicide by hanging. Cornell was found on the floor of his hotel room with some kind of band around his neck on Thursday morning. The band had just played Detroit the night before.
Now that CHRIS CORNELL is gone, people are calling EDDIE VEDDER the BETTY WHITE of grunge . . . since he’s the only one of the Big Four grunge singers from the ’90s left. The other two were Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley from Alice in Chains.
“Alien: Covenant” hits theaters this weekend. It’s up against the fourth “Diary of the Wimpy Kid” movie, and “Everything Everything”, about a girl with an autoimmune deficiency, starring Rue from “The Hunger Games”.
Lady Gaga is launching a fashion line with Urban Outfitters. The line is called Gaga x UO x Joanne and will feature menswear, womenswear and accessories. The line will cost between $16 and $300.
Netflix may do a new movie about Michael Jackson’s chimpanzee Bubbles. Netflix reportedly bought the rights to the film for $20 million. The film will chronicle Bubbles and Michael’s relationship through Bubbles’ eyes.
