Once a night, every night. For forever, apparently.
That’s how often an alarm goes off, in the wall of a home in Ross Township, Pennsylvania. Homeowner Jerry Lynn dropped the clock – gently, but on purpose – through a second-storey air vent, hoping the beeping would help him find the right spot to drill a hole for tv cable. The clock was attached to a string, but you can guess what happened.
The alarm goes off every night, and while some homeowners would have invested in a new sheet of drywall and taken care of the issue, Jerry has gotten used to the nightly beeping. It’s loud, by the way.
When is the battery going to run out? Who knows.
This was back in Sept. 2004, btw. When George W. Bush was President, the month that Britney Spears married Kevin Federline, Beyonce wouldn’t be leaving Destiny’s Child for another year, and we were still talking about Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction.
Did Jerry ever drill the hole for the tv cable? We don’t know that either, sadly.
Here’s what the wall-clock sounds like!
