A collection of singers organized by Simon Cowell has recorded a beautiful version of Simon & Garfunkel’s 1970 classic ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ to benefit the London Community Foundation; funds raised will help survivors and families of the Grenfell Tower fire.
Over fifty artists contributed to the heartbreaking recording; Robbie Williams, One Directions’ Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, The Who’s Roger Daltrey & Pete Townsend, Queen’s Brian May, James Blunt, Rita Ora, Stormzy, Jesssie J, Leona Lewis and almost forty others; in addition, the song features a 300-person choir of residents and survivors of the fire.

The death toll is currently at 79 with dozens more injured; an investigation is underway of 600 other highrises across England, to determine which may have been built using the combustible cladding believed responsible for the fire’s rapid spread through the building on June 14th.
