This Canada Day is extra special! Our beautiful country is celebrating 150 wonderful years and there are so many awesome events happening in our neck of the woods to help you and your family celebrate! Here are some fun ways to spend your Canada Day!
Check out a national park! Parks Canada is shelling out parks passes absolutely free this year so now it wont cost you a single penny to explore Canada’s beautiful back yard!

Take in some fireworks!!!
The fireworks will be be visible over the river valley parks & the North Saskatchewan river. Some primo spots to view them include:
-The Alberta Legislative buildings
-The river valley parks (Government House Park, Victoria Park, & Ezio Faraone Park) as well as the Edmonton ball park.
-There will also be a firework display at Mill Woods Park and Callingwood Park.
Take in the celebrations at the Legislature. There will so many fun things to do at this location all day, with festivities kicking off at 7 am with a road race and a pancake breakfast! You’ll also be able to take in some live entertainment (Edmonton’s own Alyssa Reid will be there!)
There will also be an indigenous showcase, a family fun zone and a celebration cake!
Visit Winston Churchill Square between 11 am and 6 pm to see Aboriginal Dancers and Drummers, bag pipes, stilt walkers, a magic show, a Canada 150 mosaic unraveling, a pow wow at 5 pm and more!
