Charity Grace Leblanc has ruffled quite a few feathers after posting a video to her Instagram page (which has amassed over 250K followers!) of her dying her two year old daughter’s hair a bright shade of fuschia!
Her daughter Felicity was beyond pumped with her new ‘do, smiling and shaking her new hairdo for the camera. In mom’s defense, the dye was temporary, but she still received some very unhappy comments, such as:
“Do you think this is healthy?!!”
“I dont like it she is a kid”
“This is so irresponsible of you. Of course she’s going to want it.. Shes a kid! She doesnt know what she wants! And you, the parent should know better! Shes going to be bald by the age of 20 ”
To be fair, there were a lot of comments absolutely loving this cutie’s new look as well. The dye was apparently vegan and washes out eventually. My mother wouldn’t let me dye my hair….so when I was 14 I just did it myself (without permission) and ruined it!!! It looked so horrible for so long. I wish I would have had someone helping me express myself with my look when I asked. As far as I’m concerned, as long as she wanted to have her hair dyed, and it wasn’t damaging or long lasting why not!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I’m “Dying” (hahaha, get it?) to know how you feel! At what age is it okay to let kids start experimenting with their hair?
