Dude where’s my car! 19 year-old Gavin Strickland recently drove from Syracuse to Toronto to see Metallica. He parked his Nissan Versa in a downtown parking garage and then took an $8 cab ride to the Rogers Centre. After the show, Gavin forgot where he parked his car. He spent hours looking for his Nissan before falling asleep on a bench. The Toronto police gave Gavin something to eat and drove him around for 3 hours trying to find his car.
Gavin’s parents were able to help him find his car after offering a $100 reward and posting the following ad on Craigslist: “Our doofy son parked the car in an indoor parking garage. Near a Starbucks… a strange spiral outdoor sculpture, and possibly a bank- maybe RBC? The car has US Florida license plates, a small Canadian flag affixed to the door frame, and a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker.”
