Clowns were the theme of my weekend and most of North America after looking at the box office numbers for the new remake of Stephen King’s IT. ($117 Million)
My weekend started on Thursday when I went to the premiere of IT and I’ll be honest, it scared the crap out of me! The story was true to the original with some updated and spooky differences. The new Pennywise was terrifying, if you didn’t have a fear of clowns going in you definitely left with one! Plus the 80’s NKOTB references were hilarious. Think Stranger Things on steroids!

Friday night I tried to soak up as much sun as possible on my patio listening to music and drinking wine. It’s sad to think that there aren’t a lot of these patio evenings left for the year.
We heard that the Halloween stores are open again in Edmonton so on Saturday we went searching for some costume ideas. There were plenty of clown options so my nightmares from Thursday watching IT came back to haunt me. My favorite mask was the reference to “Friends”. This mask was $79 so I took a hard pass on that!
Saturday night I caught up on one of my favorite shows. American Horror Story: Season 7 which is about … You guessed it Clowns!!! I told you they were haunting my weekend!
Sunday was all about getting back on the health train after a long summer of drinking beers and eating BBQ! We went for some sets of stairs so I will be limping for the next 3 days!
