That’s amazing. In a world where marriages are as disposable as napkins, this is something to celebrate. The royal couple has been through their fair share of good times and bad, but there is no denying their relationship has staying power. One fun fact about them will definitely bring a smile to your face.
Most couples have cute little nicknames for each other like lovebug, or sweetie or doll face or something along those lines. But the pet name Prince Philip has for the Queen is unlike any other. And certainly not one you’d imagine royals affectionately using for each other!
He calls her CABBAGE!
In the 2006 movie, “The Queen,” Philip is about to crawl into bed. He looks at his wife and says, “move over, cabbage.”
Not gonna lie, this made me laugh! But the definition is actually quite sweet. Some speculate the inspiration for this nickname comes from mon petit chou, which is a French way of saying, “my darling.” In English; however, that same term literally translates to MY LITTLE CABBAGE!
What nicknames do you and your significant other have for each other?
