For the 2nd year, London’s Heathrow Airport has released a ‘Christmas advert’ (that’s British for ‘commercial’) featuring Doris and Edward. The two dog-eared teddies needed a backstory after last year’s tear-jerker; the 2017 version shows how they met in 1967, when Mr. Bear was flying for business, and Mrs. Bear (Miss, at the time) was an air hostess.
Bonus: hear the song by Petula Clark? Watch for her as a passenger at the :40 second mark!

Christmas adverts are a big deal in the U.K., each trying to make viewers cry harder than their competitors, it seems at times. The leader of the pack over the years has been John Lewis, and their 2017 ad was filmed by an Oscar-winning director at a cost of over $10 million dollars!
