Last night when we were driving down the QE2, coming home from vacation, I could not take my eyes off the big, orange, beautiful moon!
Look at it! This is the kinda moon that turns men into wolves!
Please forgive me for the not so stellar photo quality, but I snapped it from the passenger seat of my boyfriend’s car. Needless to say, though, the first full moon of 2018 did not disappoint.
But if you think this was awesome, wait until January 31st, which is expected to be even more glorious!
The end of the month will bring us a SUPERMOON, a BLUE MOON & A TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE (AKA BLOOD MOON!)
A supermoon is a moon that appears larger than normal, if the sky is clear. A blue moon is a phenomenon that happens only every two and a half years, where we will see TWO full moons in the same month. A total lunar eclipse (aka blood moon) is when the sun and the moon line up juuuuust right, giving it that orangey red glow!
