Admit it, keeping an eye on royal weddings is FASCINATING! Charles & Diana, Will & Kate…we were on the edge of our seats.
And Harry and Meghan are NO exception. In fact, the ultra modern couple might even be the most interesting royal pair we’ve seen. His party boy past, along with her Hollywood history make them uber exciting to watch.
Clarence House excitedly posted their engagement announcement on Twitter on Nov 27th, with the following statement:

It wasn’t too long before a date was set…May 19th! It’s all happening so fast!
And can we just take a second to appreciate how beautiful their official engagement photos are?
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments following the release of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle’s engagement photographs. The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives. As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you.
Not surprisingly, Harry and Meghan are breaking tradition in a multitude of ways, as they carve their own path as a couple. Including during their wedding ceremony.
Traditionally, a bride is walked down the aisle by their father. But family dynamics don’t always make that the most appropriate choice. According to Us Weekly, Meghan is planning to have her mother, Doria Ragland give her away as opposed to her father, Thomas Markle.
According to an insider, the pair is determined to plan things their own way. They will be mindful of traditions and the views of their elders, but the day will ultimately be about them and they will make the decisions that feel right to them.
Who gave you away on your wedding day?? Personally, I broke from tradition as well as my brother walked me down the aisle on my big day!

This is one Royal wedding I can’t wait to tune in for….even if I do have to wait up until ungodly hours of the night (dang time change!)
